Avesta 254 SFER is a fully austenitic, manganese and nickel alloyed electrode of the AWS E310MoL type. It is designed for welding ASTM S31050 and similar steels for use in applications where high resistance to intergranular, selective, pitting and stress corrosion is required, e.g. in urea plants.

Avesta 254 SFER is now available in a new, improved version where spatter has been reduced and slag removal is excellent.
The chemical composition of the weld metal meets the Stamicarbon specification for urea plants: Si max 0.5%.

The new product is called Avesta 254 SFER and replaces the previous type (Avesta 254 SFER rutile).

Application
